If you have administrator permissions you can update information about your project from the Project Settings page. Administrators will see the Settings cog at the top right of the main panel on the Project Overview page and can access Project Settings from any page by clicking on the drop-down arrow next to the project's name in the page header.
From the Project Settings page you can:
Add or edit your Project Name and Background
Edit the project name and add a description of the project. The following sections will appear as your project background in reports so make sure to take some time filling out this section. Just as with your analysis and step summaries, the toolbar that appears when you edit these sections allows you to format your text and add images to make any reports you produce more visually appealing.
About this work - Use this section to tell the reader why you are doing the work in OutNav, where the work has come from, who it is funded by, what is important about your approach, and the purpose and set up of the outcome map. This is a good place to introduce your pathways.
Aims and objectives - If you have formal aims and objectives put this here. If not, you might want to say how the process of outcome evaluation contributes to your strategic objectives.
Context for delivery - Use this section to tell the reader about the work you do and why. This can include the geographical location, population served, political, economic or policy drivers for the work and the organisational context. You can also talk about the specific factors helping and hindering your work. If you have done an ISM analysis you can use this. It also prepares people for your risks and assumptions.
Methodological approach - Describe the approach undertaken for this work including the timeframe and the specific methods used. If you are unsure, the Matter of Focus team have provided a description of the approach which can be used by all organisations.
Define Steps
You can change the wording or order of the project step headings or add an extra step (we don’t advise that you do this without some consultation first).
Evidence Standards
The Matter of Focus approach comes with a set of default evidence standards which can be referred to when rating your progress and confidence in the Tracking section, or included in reports.
If you wish, you can customise or add to these from the Evidence Standards tab of Project Settings. Simply click in one of the text boxes and you can edit it like any other.
If you wish to reset one of the text boxes back to the default evidence standards, click the "Reset to the standard criteria" button that appears below it. This will overwrite any changes you have made, so only do this if you are sure.
User Permissions
You can add a member of your organisation to the project (the person must first have been invited to join OutNav by your organisational administrator and accepted the invitation to join). You can also view the current permissions of your team members and choose whether they are an administrator, member or reader of the specific project. You can also delete users from a project by clicking the recycle bin icon.
Delete This Project
Permanently delete a project which is no longer in use. This will permanently delete any files, data and reports attached to the project, so be absolutely sure that your team no longer needs them before carrying this out.
If you are an Organisation Administrator you may also see other options here, depending on your OutNav subscription level.
Once your Projects Settings have been confirmed, you will be ready to work on your project.
