A note on image size: In order to upload an image to OutNav, it must not be greater than 5000 kilobytes. This is because uploading a number of large images can significantly increase the time taken to generate online reports and download reports. Therefore, we encourage you to optimise image size where possible. Here is some more information on how to do this in Microsoft Office: Reduce the size of a picture Alternatively, we recommend using one of these free websites which allow you to upload and compress graphics: |
Images can be uploaded straight into your analysis using the image icon within the 'Analysis' text box on the Update Analysis page:
The feature works the same way in the Step Summary analysis text box too.
1. Drag or click into the box to upload an image from your file browser or add an image from your device.
2. The image will appear within the text:
3. This image will now be saved in the project and can be used in other stepping stones by clicking into the image library (Browse):
An image 'tray' will appear containing all images used in the project for you to choose from:
4. Once added the image can be scaled, edited, text-wrapped, captioned, aligned or deleted by clicking onto the image within the text and choosing an option from the floating toolbox.
Any images you add into your analysis will also be shown in the reports you generate, including live reports. This will allow you to create and publish attractive visual reports to share with stakeholders outside your organisation.
If you want to see a list of all the images you have uploaded to your project and where they are being used, you can use the Image Manager, which is accessible via the tabs on the Project Overview page:
