The Data Manager can be found in the Project Overview, by selecting 'Sources' from the row of tabs at the top of the page.
The Data Manager is a central hub which shows all the sources of data and evidence files that have been added to your project, and what stepping stones and pathways they are attached to.
These sources are displayed in a table with the following headings: Data source, pathways, stepping stones, and evidence. By default the sources are sorted alphabetically by name, but you can sort them by another one of these metrics by clicking on that column's heading. You can open the expanded view for a source by clicking the arrow in the "expand" column on the right.
Data source: Shows the name of the data source in question. The expanded view shows any notes you have added to this source. Clicking the heading of this column will sort the sources alphabetically.
Pathways: Shows the number of pathways the source is included in. The expanded view shows a list of these pathways which can be accessed by clicking on them. Clicking the heading of this column will sort the sources by number of pathways.
Stepping stones: Shows the number of stepping stones the source is attached to. The expanded view shows a list of these stepping stones along with the pathways they are in - clicking on the title of a stepping stone will take you to it. Clicking the heading of this column will sort the sources by number of stepping stones.
Evidence: Shows the number of evidence files attached to this source. The expanded view shows a list of these evidence files, which you can download by clicking on their names or edit by clicking the edit button below each of them; there is also a button you can click to add evidence to a source directly from this page. Clicking the heading of this column will sort the sources by number of evidence files.
Expand: To see more information about a source, click the arrow in the "expand" column on the right of the table.
See also: the Evaluation Manager, which shows you the sources, evidence files and success criteria attached to each individual stepping stone in a pathway, and provides a quick way to edit them.
