What if I try to edit a piece of text at the same time as another member of my team?

OutNav will now let you know when you are trying to edit a piece of text that another member of your team is currently working on.

This includes stepping stone analysis, step summary analysis, and project background sections such as ‘About This Work’ and ‘Conclusions’. Only one user can edit each of these at one time, preventing potential loss of data.

If you try to edit something that is already being edited by another member of your team, you will see a pop-up informing you of this.

If you wait on this page, you will be informed when the other person is no longer editing it, and be given a link to edit it yourself. Alternatively, you can choose to view a read-only version of the page you are trying to access.

On read-only analysis pages, you can choose to automatically refresh the page every 5 seconds, making it easy for you to view your team member’s updates in real time. This is done by checking the box in the top right corner of the page.
