Organisation Administrators can access the Organisation Settings page, from the link near the Dashboard, or from the dropdown menu in the navigation bar. Click the tabs down the left hand side to access different settings.
Organisation Details
Organisation Details allows you to rename your organisation, or upload, replace or remove your organisation’s logo. When you are finished, make sure to click “Update” to apply your changes.
People Permissions
People Permissions shows you a list of all the people with OutNav accounts attached to your organisation.
On the left you can see their name and email address. Then you can see whether they are an organisation administrator or an organisation member, and you can change this by checking the appropriate box.
Please note that if you make a user an organisation administrator, they will have the same permissions as you and can access any project within the organisation, so if you want to give them administrative permissions within only selected projects, you can do so from the dropdown menu to the right.
This dropdown menu, titled “Set access level by project”, shows a list of all the projects within your organisation. You can easily give the selected user different permission levels for the different projects by checking the box in the appropriate column beside each project.
“Admins” will be able to change everything about a project including its settings, and will also be able to delete the project.
“Members” will be able to make changes to stepping stones, pathways and analysis within the project.
“Readers” will be able to view the project and run reports, but cannot make changes.
Users set to “no access” will have no access to the project and it will not appear on their Dashboard.
You can find more detailed information on what each permission level means here.
From the People Permissions tab, you can also invite new people to your OutNav organisation. Simply click the Invite button at the top of the list, enter their name and email address, choose if you want to make them an organisation administrator, then assign their permission level for each project from the list of organisations, as you would for an existing user. Click send invite, and an email will be sent to the address you entered. If an invited user is unable to find their invite email, make sure they have checked their spam or junk folders.
Until they click the link in their email, their pending invitation will be displayed in the list below the list of existing users. Here, you can make changes to their permission levels, or resend or revoke their invite by clicking the buttons on the right.
Finally, you can remove an existing user by clicking the button on the far right of the existing users list.
After you have made changes to permission levels, be sure to click the “Save changes” button at the top or bottom of the page to confirm your changes.
Project Permissions
Project Permissions shows you the same information as People Permissions, but organised by project instead of by person. You can use the dropdown menu by each project to choose which members of your organisation have access to that project and what level of permissions they have. Again, make sure to click “Save changes” afterwards to ensure your changes take effect.
Divisions
If you have a multi-project subscription, you can use the Divisions tab to create various categories for your projects, and keep your Dashboard tidy.
